In 2001, I built a car enthusiast site, EliteRides. As it grew to a few hundred active members, I wondered “How do I make this better?”
That got me into design.
As it grew into several thousand members, I asked, “How do I monetize this?”
That got me into marketing.
I took those skills and started doing design on the side. Eventually got a day job doing design.
When that company was raided and shut down by the FTC and local Sheriff’s department, I had three choices:
- Wait to see if I still had a job
- Start looking for a new job
- Bet on myself
17 years later after betting on myself, I now support nearly five dozen team members. Together, we run one of the most trusted SEO agencies, respected for our transparency and results, SEO National.
One car got me into entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship got me into the other.
