While back, the local Davis Technical College reached out to me. They asked if I could advise on their web design and digital marketing board.
The board helps the college understand industry trends and agency needs so that the up and coming digital workforce has the skills to support those demands.
What they didn’t know was that I grew up in that town. Back in high school days, I even received a college scholarship to DTC.
Unfortunately, my family abruptly moved a short time later during my senior year, so I wasn’t able to take advantage of it.
Met up with the board yesterday. I’ve now been advising for 9 years. Small way I’m thankful to give back.
