I remember sitting in the living room of me and my wife’s first house. I had just quit my day job and started my business. And, she had about a month left before our first kid would be born.
I remember telling myself two things
1) “Grind it out now, so I don’t have to later.”
Meaning, do what I could now to afford myself freedom of time as our family grew.
2) “Never miss a game.”
Yesterday was soccer tryouts for my 8 year old. His big bro made a competition soccer team last year, and he wants to follow.
I’ve held true to my word. At every game. Even if it’s “just” tryouts.
