Freedom is earned. If you want the freedom of more family or personal time, treat it like an obligation, not a “would be nice.”
Rain or shine, my recurring schedule includes walking my kids to and from school, whenever I can. That time with my kids is a freedom that I appreciate. And I earn it by committing to not letting anything else interrupt that opportunity by blocking off that time in my calendar.
Figure out how to commit to the freedoms you want. Who says you can’t schedule breakfast with your family, reading time with your kids, dinner with your spouse?
