What do waffles, being rejected at an event, and dropping $50k after rejection have to do with Russell Brunson?
It’s his birthday, and here’s what happened…
Sometime around 2018 I started writing an SEO book. At the same time I was building a small lakefront cabin in Bear Lake.
I remember digging a trench on the property, listening to Russell’s books on the MP3 player from the “Funnel Hackers Black Box” in the pic. While listening, Russell talked about growing up visiting a lake on the Utah/Idaho border, Bear Lake. I was building a cabin at the place he was talking about.
I published that SEO book, Outrank, in 2020. It became an Amazon best seller. The book brought an elevated status, and my agency, SEO National, continued to grow. As it grew, I continued to network and look for new opportunities to learn. That networking led me to Josh Forti.
With a random email and a pitch to be on his podcast, he happened to have an opening that week from a reschedule. With lucky podcast timing, and months of him thinking I was a psycho for being unusually nice, he realized I wasn’t a serial killer, didn’t want anything from him, and we became good friends.
2021 I went with Josh to Funnel Hacking Live. As he let me tag along, he had access to some areas that I didn’t. And that bothered me.
I didn’t want anything in the VIP areas. Just wanted to hang with my homies. Not wanting anything for free, I asked security if I could pay to upgrade my wristband somehow.
“No.” Was the answer. It was only for award winners or coaching clients.
I asked what that entailed? Enter Robert Summers. The chat with Robbie went from 0-100, real quick.
He asked if I wanted to be in coaching?
– No.
Then was asked about a mastermind.
– Maybe.
After verifying earning $1MM+, and being at FHL to learn… I dropped $50,000 to join, and was suddenly in the world of Russell Brunson’s Inner Circle.
Since joining Inner Circle I met Bart Allan Miller.
Since meeting Bart I met Hector Garcia, owner of Waffle Me Up.
At one of Bart’s events, Hector talked about his vision of taking his already successful dream business from brick and mortar to being able to sell online and ship nationwide.
I had successfully optimized and taken two similar food products from brick and mortar to online, one even later being featured on Shark Tank. I offered a few ideas on how to position the product, boxing, etc.
Hector and I stayed in loose touch since then.
How does this tie back to Russell’s birthday?
This week, Russell just sent out a box of Waffle Me Up waffles to everyone in Inner Circle to celebrate his birthday.
