In 2021, world traveling social media legend Zach Benson posted he’d be in San Diego. I love getting out to SD, so I DM’d him and offered to fly to him to meet up.
July 5, 2021 I caught a 6 am flight to CA, we met at Woody’s coffee shop on the boardwalk on Mission Beach, hung out for a few hours, then I flew back home that night.
Met up just to meet up and build a relationship.
Over the years we’ve kept in touch.
Then, five years later to the week, July 9, 2026, we met up again in South Korea.
He saw where I was traveling and he would be there so this time he DM’d me to meet up.
He recommended a cool place, we grabbed coffee up 79 floors at Lotte Tower, and he was gracious in chatting with my wife and kids as we all hung out together.
This is what I love about the comradery of online marketers. You can be anywhere in the world and find a friend willing to meet up.
