Personal passion > financial incentive

I know financial incentive sounds nice, but I never base my decision on it.

Countless studies, and my experience has seen the same. Money is never a long-term driver.

Hires that that’s their primary motivator never last.  And any time I’ve incentivized performance with money it just makes everyone lazier and more entitled.

If you want to succeed at something, you have to be passionate first.

Do you think most successful athletes did it first for money, or because they loved the game?

Personal passion or financial incentive?

Loving the game is the way to both.
