Talk about an amateur move. 🤦🏻My team went live with a new design for a client with placeholder “lorem ipsum” text in the footer.
The client was graceful and simply emailed, “Can you fix the lorem ipsum on the home page?” Yes! Done. Fixed immediately and replied with a confirmation.
In addition to fixing it, I didn’t make excuses. This is how you show business maturity. Immediately owned it and replied with a meme that my team doesn’t often make mistakes but when we do it’s on this client X’s website.
His reply? “Funny!” Then put it behind us and moved on to the next task at hand.
Problem solved, trust established, lesson learned for my team member.
