Last time I had email on my phone was around 2005, just two years before I started my agency.
One of my last employers kept blowing me up. It was long after work, on a weekend, and was at dinner with my wife, girlfriend back then. He would email me, and if I didn’t answer he would text. Then call.
I realized I didn’t want any of that, deleted email off my phone right then, and decided I’d never have it on my phone again. 20 years later, still don’t have email on my phone.
And guess what, I’ve never lost business over it.
It’s okay to protect your time. The wrong customers take advantage of it. The right customers protect their time, and respect you when you do the same.
