AI blog prompt

Guess I have to be the first AI SEO to say it…

The llms.txt thing is dumb, and will never be adopted.  I’m also willing to be the first to say I’m wrong. But here’s why I highly doubt it.

  1. llms.txt is not formally adopted. By anyone. Period.
  2. Why would something so smart as AI need something so dumb as a plain txt file to find URLs and understand the page’s content when it could simply, I dunno, just read the content itself?
  3. .txt files are flat files. You really think something as dynamic as AI would adopt scaling with something not dynamic?
  4. And even if it needed something to help it find URLs, why couldn’t it just get the same/more from xml sitemaps that already exist and are already universally adopted?

100% could be wrong, but none of this makes any remote sense why AI platforms would even consider adopting llms.txt files.

This is mass hysteria of everyone trying so desperately to be the first to say things about AI when it’s really just hype cycle nonsense.
