Messes around the house used to drive me crazy. I mean, they still do on some days, but less so as a whole.  Their bedrooms are still disasters, but random forts in hallways and living rooms are mostly down to one kid.

Oldest kid is too old.

Middle does it sometimes, but rarely.

So we’re down to one consistent mess maker.

This picture is her “store” in our front room.

She’s been making “puffy” iPads and laptops. You print two copies of coloring pages of the electronic, put tissue between the two copies, then staple them together.   It’s like ASMR on paper.

She’ll ask me for paper, pens, markers, staplers, scissors, and tape.  And it’s in every room, all over.  Paper shavings on the floor, foot long strings of left over tape on the windows.

As these are becoming fewer and far between, they don’t bother me as much because now I see less of a mess and more of time slipping.
