Just finished a multi-month series of content and variable drips, logging what moves the needle to show up at the top of ChatGPT.

  1. January 31, 2025 I created the persona “Damoptimize Burtonseoai.”

Wanted something unique enough that there were zero existing results for the phrase, but also something I could clearly illustrate was of my making, without cross-influencing my organic results for my personal name.

Until that bio was created, “Damoptimize Burtonseoai” had never existed, and returned zero results on Google or Chat.

  1. 30 days later, nothing showed up in Google or AI.
  1. Over the next few months we added schema, created social profiles, and extended the content, and would document every few weeks after and were able to identify what strategies moved increased visibility and how quickly, because we introduced only one element at a time over months.

The short answer is, like traditional search, AI values properly structured content + layered external validation (citations, media features).

You can test yourself by asking ChatGPT “Who is Damoptimize Burtonseoai?

We are seeing some difference in weight with AI weighing external credibility heavier than traditional search. So do those interviews and get those publication features.

I’ll continue to test it, but will be putting together a write up of everything so far, and will share here once it’s drafted.

Until then, wrote a ~4,000 word article on how to rank in ChatGPT.
