Not gonna’ cry.

No one on my team ever quits. In 15 years, virtually never.

  • I’ve been invited to their weddings.
  • I’ve helped some overcome relationship struggles.
  • I’ve been asked to be a godfather to their first born… twice.

My longest team member has been with me for 15 years. I’ve helped him overcome a deathly fear of water. Started with helping buy them a kiddie pool just to sit in. For real, that’s where they wanted to start. Just sitting. Adjusting.

Years later, they are now a competitive swimmer that teaches others to swim.

And as others on the team grow more senior in their years with me, the more they share the impact I’ve made, without me even knowing it.

I’ve helped some qualify for cars, housing, college admissions, and today I learned that one team member’s employment and mentorship helped them qualify for a Masters Degree that they didn’t otherwise qualify for. At a college that wouldn’t have otherwise accepted them… in a country that wouldn’t have otherwise approved a Visa.

He’ll still be working with me for the foreseeable future, but I told him he’ll likely outgrow SEO National and eventually leave. And I support him 100% in his opportunity eventually becoming my loss, because I want people to win and be happy.

He’s moving his wife and kid to a new country for new beginnings, to pursue continued education of something he’s passionate about. And today I learned none of it would have been possible if I hadn’t simply cared about him.

I care for my team… because they’re people first. And in return I earn their trust and loyalty for life.

Put people first.
