Not sure why, but food charities always get me in the feels. Think it’s because I know how vulnerable the kids are that depend on these meals.
I realize adults are impacted, too. But growing up on food stamps at home and free meals in school my mind always associate these types of charities with innocent kids that didn’t contribute to being in that position and literally have no control over being stuck there.
Can only imagine the magnified need for food with the impact on the middle class in the last year, so organizing my own food charity this year and giving more where I can to other food organizations.
