It took me one day to be attracted to my wife.

One week to love her.

One month to be in love with her.

One year to propose.

Two years to get married.

Yet, 21 years to fully understand each other.

To fully love her unconditionally, and for her to fully love me the same.

To show up vulnerable, and trusting we could share our regrets of how we’ve hurt each other.

To be patient and listen to hurtful things, hold no judgment of our mistakes, to be willing to be honest we made them, and for the other side to also take responsibility for their part.

True love is a giant leap of faith into an unknown that is equally worth the thrill of the jump, and trusting you made the right decision after you’re already falling scared.

It’s worth it.
