I get invited to share with entrepreneur groups and college classes a few times a year.
Having such a rockstar team at SEO National, and knowing they all have everything under control allows me the opportunity to speak to and inspire others with all the cool things we do together as a team.
After speaking to a class yesterday, a student shared this post in my free SEO Facebook group…
✨ This afternoon was special. ✨
We had the incredible honor of having Sir Damon Burton speak into our class — and wow, what a session it was.
Even though there were only 11 of us, it felt like a room full of future designers, eager, hopeful, and hungry to learn. Most of us were beginner web designers, full of passion for design — but Damon, with such humility and authenticity, shifted our whole perspective.
When I asked a question about design, sliders, and the images on our websites, you could feel the energy change.
The ones who have already been online for a while, trying to get traction, were visibly perplexed. It was like you could see them questioning their whole approach — their life choices even — in real time.
After the call ended, they flooded the chat, asking what should I do now?
Why am I not getting results?
How do I start over the right way?
I asked them, what changed? — and the answer was clear.
It was the way Damon showed up.
He wasn’t trying to sell anything.
He wasn’t trying to impress us.
He was simply real — teaching from a place of experience and honesty.
He spoke life into the idea that a beautiful website is not enough — that real success comes from conversion, strategy, and ROI.
And it landed.
