AI is creating arrogance and false confidence from delusions of “experience.”

3 “marketing experts,” a whole 60 days into their resume, claiming AI made the perfect websites for them.

They tell me all about their amazing, special prompting. Yet, every time their perfect AI website is missing the most basic optimization consistency.

The latest comes crashing in my free Facebook group on optimization after I shared a video talking at mastermind about how to show up in AI.

His reply to the free 20 minute video give was “Why are you even in that room? Because I did everything in that video already and showed up #1 in 28 days.”

Sooo… what I said works? Congrats?

And I’m in that room because I give.  The video also posted in a free group behind no paywall and without an ask. How are you impacting and supporting others?

The video was 20 minutes I talked unscripted on how to do optimization, and this guy probably couldn’t talk for 20 seconds on what his Claude actually did to build his site?

Then he questioned why my video didn’t go deeper.  The video was intentionally high level. It was a room of visionaries, not integrators. They don’t want detail. They want high level.

Know your audience.

Respectfully put his ego in check. Then I audited his perfectly built website and it had broken links, redirects, broken schema (and the wrong type to begin with), and a design that looked like Microsoft Paint melted it in a microwave.

Besides the amazing conversion optimization, his #1 ranking he bragged about?

“LED bedroom wall lights in Scranton, Pennsylvania.”

No wonder an ugly, broken structured website ranked. You’re going hyper-specific in a tiny market.

I’m talking to a room full of multi-million dollar a year businesses, upwards to $100,000,000. Let’s see how your broken site with no content strategy works in a real marketplace with real competition.

Then he deleted all his comments and left the group.

AI easy button is fine when it’s fine.  But corner cutting sites, talking out of context, and flexing ego for your new AI hobby does not equate real life expertise.

Engage others collaboratively, be willing to listen and learn, and check the ego at the door.

That’s how you build a reputation.  That’s how you get in those rooms.
